Ingredients
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 500g spinach (boiled)
- 1 green chili
- 7 cloves of garlic
- small knob of ginger (optional)
- 1 cup peas
Spices
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Curry powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp hing
Steps
- boil tomatoes and onions
- grind spinach and green chili in blender
- grind the boiled tomatoes and onions in blender
- heat up a pan, and dry roast the cumin seeds
- add garlic and a little water to water saute the garlic less than a minute
- add tomato and onion paste and lower the heat
- add spices, mix and cook for 3 to 4 minutes
- add spinach and mix thoroughly, add water if it's too thick cook for a minute
- add boiled peas (or potatoes, tofu, etc)
- bring it up to a boil, and then drop it back down to a simmer for 4 or 5 minutes
