buckwheat flour roti

Ingredients


  • 1 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1/2 cup cooked potato
  • water as needed


Steps


  1. add flour and mash potatoes and add them
  2. add a little water and mix, continue to add a little water at a time as needed until you get a thick dough
  3. continue to work the dough for a few minutes to get a really good dough
  4. take golfball sized piece of dough, and slowly squish it flat with your hands (see video for technique)
  5. cook on a hot pan for 1 minute per side.
  6. cook directly on the flame flipping every 15 to 20 seconds

Note
you can add salt and other spices to add flavor if you want

  1. How do you cook rotis without using any oil on the pan? I make sure the pan is hot and using a nonstick pan/tawa but they always stick!
