Ingredients
- 50g tamarind (remove seeds)
- 50g jaggery
Spices
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
Steps
- soak tamarind in warm water for 30 minutes
- blend the water and soaked tamarind
- strain blended tamarind water through cheese cloth of a fine seive
- add to a warm pan, and add jaggery.
- add seasonings and boil it together to combine (on a very slow flame) 20+ minutes until it reaches the right consistency (see video)
