Stuffed Roti

Ingredients


  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 2 small red onions
  • 1 green chili
  • small handful of cilantro
  • whole wheat flour (enough to make about 1 fist sized ball of dough, about a cup give or take)
  • water

Spices


  • 1/8 tsp garlic herb or powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam seeds (optional)
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Steps


  1. chop the onions, cilantro, and green chili
  2. mash the potatoes
  3. Mix onions, cilantro, chili, potatoes,cilantro, and spices and mix thoroughly
  4. make about a cup of dough out of flour and water
  5. flatten the roti (like the other recipe), using flour to keep it from sticking
  6. add the stuffing (the mixture should make about 4 or 5 roti), and enclose it with the roti
  7. flatten stuffed roti again, slowly to try and keep from getting too much of the stuffing from coming out
  8. fly in a frying pan on medium heat, flip it somewhat regularly until it's cooked through

Add some green sauce, or other indian curries as a topping
