Ingredients to be pressure cooked
- 2 tsp Sambhar Masala spice pack
- tamarind (boil in some water)
- 1/2 cup toor dal
- 1 cup cauliflower (cubed)
- 1/2 cup green beans (sliced)
- 1/4 cup pumpkin (diced)
- 2 carrots (diced)
- 1 small eggplant (diced)
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 2-3 cups of water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Ingredients added later:
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 2 or 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1 cup of tamarind water
- 2 pieces of jaggery
Steps
- add everything to pressure cooker, mix well, and pressure cook (about 20 minutes)
- toast mustard seeds in pan
- add minced garlic for 20-30 seconds
- add tamarind water, jaggery, and the ingredients from the pressure cooker and mix well
- boil for 4-5 minutes
enjoy (try with some idli from your dosa)
