Chickpea Chaat

Ingredients


  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas (drained)
  • 1 small potato (already cooked)
  • 1/2 cup puffed rice
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 small onion
  • 5 tsp tamarind sauce
  • 2 tsp cilantro green sauce
  • 1/4 cup cilantro

Spices


  • 1/2 tsp Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Curry powder (or chana masala if you can get it)
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder

Steps


  1. put chickpeas into bowl and add spices to the bowl and mix
  2. dry roast the chickpeas and spice mixtures for 3 or 4 minutes.  They’ll start to brown
  3. put chickpeas back into the bowl and add all the other ingredients.  Mix well
